The split shaft collar was used to replace a circlip which was holding a yacht's helm to a stainless steel shaft. The circlip was unreliable and the stainless steel double split shaft collar was the perfect solution to an annoying design fault. Looks good does not corrode and holds the helm firm. I've used Wych before and items always arrive quickly, a couple days after ordering. The bearing fit perfectly (a bit snug but also had a hard time removing the old one so probably the bike not the bearing) time will tell re: quality
